I am not a construction guru, but if cash is tight, you can look to making a longer term commitment to get a better contract and price with a supplier. All the trends seem to be pointing to the construction industry picking up in the near future, which should help drive up revenues.

  34. Andrew Miller Says:

Near-shoring is definitely not a fad. Companies will use a combination of near-shoring and outsourcing for the manufacture of products and component parts. Many companies are recognizing some of the downsides of outsourcing all production to places like India, China and Eastern Europe (longer lead times, increased storage and transportation costs, poor quality, etc.). Knowing the right mix of what should be produced overseas and what should be produced closer to home will be a key strategy moving forward.

  35. Jason Butkus Says:

Is talk of near-shoring a fad or something that makes a lot of sense in the coming year(s)?
